Pay with a wearable
Your payment method always within reach
Discover how smart technology is integrated into a ring, bracelet, watch straps, or keychain, without a battery or screen
What is a wearable
Technology integrated into something you wear
A wearable is a wearable product that incorporates technology. Think of a smartwatch that tracks your activity, as well as a ring, bracelet, watch strap, or keychain that lets you pay contactlessly.
AdornPay specializes in passive wearables. The NFC chip is discreetly integrated into the design and works without a battery. What looks like an ordinary beautiful accessory to someone else is, for you, also a means of payment and a digital business card.
This is how AdornPay transforms something you wear every day into something that helps you do more every day.
Multiple functions
What can you do with a passive wearable?
You primarily use your AdornPay wearable for contactless payments. In addition, you can set up a digital business card via the Manage Mii app, allowing you to easily share your contact details with a compatible smartphone.
The integrated NFC chip can also be registered in other compatible apps and systems. This may allow you to use your wearable to start a charging session for your electric car or gain access to a building or room.
Which additional applications are possible depends on the external app, charging station, or access system.

Why choose a passive wearable?
never charge
The passive NFC chip works without a battery. This means your wearable is always ready to use.
Always within reach
Wear your payment method on your finger or wrist, or easily carry it on your keyring.
Style and function in one
The technology is discreetly integrated into an accessory that suits your style and everyday use.
Discreet and manageable
Others cannot immediately see that your wearable is also a payment method. If you lose it, you can block or disable the linked payment function.
Pay your way
Linked to your own account or prepaid
You can use your AdornPay wearable to pay in several ways. Which option is right for you depends on your payment card, card issuer, country, and the model you choose.
Paying with your own payment card
In many cases, you link an eligible Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card via Curve. Curve provides the digital connection between your own payment card and the wearable. Payments are then charged to the card you selected in the Curve app.
Some banks and card issuers also support direct linking. In that case, you do not need Curve.
Paying with prepaid funds
Can't or don't want to link your own payment card? Depending on the wearable and the country, you may be able to use a prepaid solution such as VIMpay or MuchBetter. You deposit funds into the associated app in advance and then pay with your wearable using the available balance.
Check which payment solution is right for you before placing your order.
How do you pay at the checkout?
After one-time activation, your wearable works much like a contactless payment card. Hold it close to the contactless symbol on the payment terminal and wait for confirmation.
With a payment ring, make a relaxed fist and hold the ring flat near the reader. It looks a little as if you're giving the payment terminal a friendly fist bump; the cashier can join in too, of course.
For higher amounts or after several contactless payments, the payment terminal may ask for a PIN. Use the PIN for the linked payment solution. You can find it in the relevant app.
What if you lose your wearable
Disable the payment function as soon as possible in Manage Mii or block the linked card via your payment solution's app. To someone else, the wearable looks like an ordinary accessory rather than an obvious payment method, but always treat a loss in the same way as you would a payment card.
