Keep your watch close and pay
The payment chip is located in the strap next to the clasp, opposite the watch face. Hold this part flat and close to the contactless payment symbol until the payment terminal recognizes the wearable.
You activate the strap once via Curve or VIMpay and Manage Mii. After that, you can pay without your phone or payment card. For higher amounts, the payment terminal may ask for your PIN.

Frequently asked questions about our watch straps
Does this strap fit every watch?
The strap only fits when the connection and strap width match. Therefore, check whether your watch needs an 18, 20, or 22 mm strap. Not sure? Send us a photo of your watch and the connection.
Do I need a smartwatch?
No. Our watch straps are specifically designed to make your classic watch a little smarter. The NFC chip is built into the watch strap and works independently of the watch. This lets you transform your classic watch into a payment wearable.
Why do I need a payment app and Manage Mii?
Curve by VIMpay provides the payment connection. In Manage Mii, you activate and manage the wearable and set up the digital business card. After installation, you do not need either app while making payments.
Do I need to charge the watch strap?
No. The integrated NFC chip works without a battery and never needs to be charged.
What happens if I lose the wristband?
You can block the payment function in Manage Mii. Do you use Curve? You can also temporarily lock your Curve card in the Curve app. In addition, our bands don't show that you can pay with them, making them extra secure!
